What is Unbound Ministry? Who we are, what we do, and how we do it

Unbound is a community of followers of Jesus Christ who are experiencing REAL life change through the awesome power and love of Jesus! We are a compassionate conduit of the Holy Spirit, flowing from the historic Landmark Church in Cincinnati Ohio, sharing the love of Jesus throughout the United States and to the rest of the World!

Unbound exists to show others how t o experience REAL freedom from ANYTHING and EVERYTHING  that may be binding them, keeping them from  being who God created them to be!  From homeless camps to gated communities, from drug rehabs to a church pew, from abandoned houses to mental hospitals, we meet people where they are in life and love on them the same way that Christ loved us in our mess!

How we love?

Unbound is based around several passages from the Bible, and we model our ministry around these:

Lazarus (John 11) - As believers, our mission is to roll away the gravestone and extend the opportunity for everyone to choose to walk with Jesus. Just as in John 11:44, we're committed to helping individuals break free from what binds them and remove the smell of death from their lives. We achieve this through the power of prayer, discipleship, the support of our small groups, and our outreach efforts. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space where you can openly discuss and overcome any challenges you may be facing. We provide resources for detox, rehab, shelters for battered women, the abused, the homeless, and anything else that may be needed. We work off of the idea “they don’t care what you know, until they know that you care“. In this passage Jesus prays before calling Lazarus out of the tomb. We always focus everything around prayer and the word of God , no matter how big or small it seems!

The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) - The Unbound Army always tries to meet others that need assistance whom others may have chosen to ignore, and to provide assistance to the best of our ability. We have a  team that tries to help those in need find shelter and healthcare through our network of partner agencies.

Highways and hedges (Luke 14:23) - Jesus tells us to go to the highways and hedges and compel people to come to Him! Through a very radical outreach program, the Unbound “Street-Reach Team“ brings food, clothing, blankets, and much more to the most forgotten and desperate souls. This highly evangelistic group of former drug addicts, prostitutes, thieves, runaways and more who have experienced the radical transformation that can only be found through Jesus, go into the homeless camps and impoverished neighborhoods and have Unbound “Church On The Street”. Recently Landmark Church/Unbound Ministry has partnered with Metro Relief of Dallas, Texas and now has a 37’ “Ministry Machine”, that we refer to as “the Unbound Prayhound” bus that brings the  heart of The Father into the most desperate of situations.

Gatherings (Acts 2:42) - Unbound Worship is an event that occurs every month in order to share testimonies (Revelation 12:11), eat a delicious free meal, and to fellowship and celebrate with others who have  been set free or who are still experiencing some sort of bondage.

We ABSOLUTELY believe in the power of prayer, God’s Word, worship, and community. This is why we have weekly small group meetings as well as our Unbound Worship gathering. At our weekly small group gatherings we share with each other our struggles, our blessings, what God is doing in our lives and pray for each other. We also have a Bible study and small group discussions to dig into the word we are studying with other believers.

God has really blessed us over the last three years with some excellent and extremely talented, musicians, and speakers. All are welcome at Unbound! We believe that it is our place to love you and God‘s place to judge you and the Holy Spirit’s place to draw you. We will not judge you, but we will absolutely tell you what the word of God says. The Bible is and will always be our standard. We love everybody, and care about everybody, because Jesus did! We tell everyone the truth about salvation, because Jesus did! Just like Jesus, it is our desire, that no one should perish, or suffer!

To put it simple, we want people to know Jesus the way that we do, and to be set free from the chains that bind them.
